An honest read on every household bill, from someone the suppliers don't pay.

We tell you which bills to switch, which to leave alone, and which to haggle. You pay us, not the suppliers, so the answer's straight.

What makes Shrewd different

Don't bother

Sometimes the answer is leave it alone.

Comparison sites earn when you switch, so they always find a reason. We have no commission to lose, so we say so when the switch isn't worth your time.

You pay us. Not the suppliers.

Twenty euro a year, from you, and that's the only money in the room. No commissions, no referral fees, no kickbacks ever. It's what lets us tell you to leave a bill alone.

We check the whole bill, not just the bits we can earn from.

Energy, broadband, mobile, streaming, and how they fit together. Switching one without thinking about the others is how households leave money behind.

We're still here after you've switched.

A check that earns a commission is done with you the day you switch. Your intro rate ends, your contract renews, and nobody's watching. We are — before your deal turns, we tell you, in time to act. That's what the year-round check is for.

What you actually get

A clear verdict on each bill — including when to do nothing.

Not a wall of tariffs to wade through. One straight answer per bill, the figures behind it, and the reason. When staying put is the right call, that’s what we tell you.

Stay put. You’re already on one of the cheapest plans for your usage.

We checked 33 suppliers. Switching saves about €12 a year — not worth the hassle. We’ll watch and tell you when that changes.

How it works

  1. 01

Photo a bill, or answer a few household questions.

Most people just snap their bill. If you're paperless, a few quick questions work too.

  2. 02

    We run the whole-market check.

Every plan from every supplier you'd realistically use, against the actual rate you're paying.

  3. 03

You see what to do, including when to leave it alone.

A clear verdict per bill, the reasoning behind it, and the script if there's a call to make.

  4. 04

Then we keep watching — and tell you before your deal turns.

Intro rates end and contracts auto-renew, usually onto something worse. That's the trap most households fall into quietly. We watch for the turn and tell you in time to act.

Utilities

Electricity, gas.

Tariff comparison — unit rate plus standing charge against every publicly listed alternative, net of exit fees.

Telecoms

Broadband, mobile.

Contract and price terms — annual rises, mid-term hikes, actual speed in your postcode.

Subscriptions

Streaming.

Subscription audit — which you actually use, and which to downgrade or cancel.

Every bill gets watched from the moment we check it. Before your intro rate ends or your contract is up, we re-run it against the market and tell you what to do.

Everything

€20/ year

Launch price — standard €59.

Every bill checked, energy, broadband, mobile, the lot. The calls we can’t make for free, like when to haggle instead of switch. And we keep watching all year, so you hear from us when something actually changes.

Your data

Your bill, handled like it’s ours.

You pay us, not the suppliers — so we’ve no reason to sell your data or hand it to anyone. The bill you upload is deleted after 90 days, your data is stored in the EU, and we never share it with the suppliers you’re comparing.

What we can’t do

A short list of honest limits.

  • We don’t guarantee a specific saving.

Your usage and the live market both move. The numbers we give you are true today.

  • We don’t perform the switch.

By design — handling switches would mean supplier fees, and that’s the door commissions walk through. You stay in charge.

  • We’re new, and the dataset is still small.

We’ll get sharper as more bills run through. We’d rather say so than pretend otherwise.

  • We’re not your accountant, adviser, or regulator.

Where one of those is the right answer, we’ll say so rather than try to be them.
